How? We’ll test whether there’s an Attack on Titan multiverse if we explain who Goth Mikasa and Nerd Armin are.
In the Attack on School Castes, Goth Mikasa and Nerd Armin are two alternate forms of Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. This is actually a series of spoof previews for Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga, which he wrote and illustrated. These two individuals aren’t in the canon storyline, but they do suggest that there’s more to the Attack on Titan universe.

Goth Mikasa was a manga-exclusive character until recently, i.e. until Episode 19 of Season 4 of Attack on Titan, but as we’ve discussed, even there, she wasn’t a canon character and was part of Isayama’s faux previews for the original manga. However, while Eren remained on the edge of life and death in the aforementioned episode, he got a flash of memories from his own existence and that of his Titan forefathers. The faces of two favourite alternative characters, Goth Mikasa and Nerd Armin, appeared in a collage of those recollections rushing through the ether.
This does not imply that the two of them have become part of the main anime canon, but the producers have acknowledged the fake previews and have incorporated silhouettes of these two characters in the anime as a gesture of fan service. As far as we know, this has had no further consequences.
Is Nerd Armin real?
Nerd Armin is both real and not real, depending on how you look at it. In any event, the character is a reincarnation of Armin Arlert from the Attack on School Castes series. As we previously stated, this book is a collection of bogus previews for the original Attack on Titan manga, all of which were written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The tale of this series is told in each volume of the main manga, from volume 21 to volume 34, and follows Eren Yeager and his pals as average high school students.
Goth Mikasa & Nerd Armin in Attack on Titan Season 4 Explained
Armin is portrayed as a dorky high school student in the series and is known as Nerd Armin. He is a huge fan favourite and one of the series’ most popular characters. Is he, in fact, real? In that sense, he is genuine since he exists and has a story to tell. However, the series was never considered part of the Attack on Titan canon, and even Isayama has stated that the previews are phoney. So, in a way, it’s also not genuine.
This could indicate the presence of an Attack on Titan multiverse, however this is just speculative. We’ll now go over the stories in which Nerd Armin has appeared (apart from the ones we’ve already mentioned):
Bullying Isn’t Cool
Eren gets tormented at school and has no idea what’s going on until Armin discloses him there are suspicions that he did something to Historia. Historia is ashamed by her clique’s treatment of Eren, but she refuses to admit that she made up the rumour. When he tries to confront her, she responds by attacking him.
