June 2024 · 3 minute read

Debbie Allen has been married to Norm Nixon, for 36 years, and the spark between them appears to be hotter than ever.

Debbie Allen and her man, ex-NBA star, Norm Nixon, have been going at it for more than three decades and to celebrate their latest milestone – 36 years of marriage – Debbie took to Instagram to share a series of videos and images.

While the first slide of her post was a video of an all-white party where she danced with her man, the second slide was a black-and-white throwback pic.

Unfortunately, things are not what they used to be as Debbie had to close down her dance academy over the continuous concerns raised by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The other slides were also images that showed how Debbie and Norm have grown through the years. Debbie didn't stop there, however, as she wrote in the caption:

"Happy Anniversary to the love of my life, Norm. So thankful to have you as my forever dance partner. 36 years and counting, baby!"

Even though the post warmed the hearts of her fans, who have liked it over 100,000 times since it was shared a few hours ago, this anniversary seemed nothing like the one they had in 2016.

According to Essence, Debbie and Norm rented a yacht in Marina del Rey where they threw a #WhiteParty, as seen in the clip the former shared on her Instagram feed.

The couple seemed to have fun as they danced and drank the night away with their family and friends, which included Wesley Snipes and the actress's Debbie Allen Dance Academy crew.

The 70-year-old "Blank Check" actress couldn't have been happier with her life, career, and marriage of 32 years.

Unfortunately, things are not what they used to be as Debbie had to close down her dance academy over the continuous concerns raised by the COVID-19 pandemic.

CNN reported that the mother-of-three closed shop on the same day that production was halted on "Grey's Anatomy," a show where she performs many roles, including that of actor and executive producer.

Despite those setbacks, the actress has continued to soldier on as Today revealed that she launched her free social media dance class for those who were in quarantine due to the pandemic.

To that end, Debbie ensured that she gave her fans and followers a 24-hour heads up before she kicked off the class in March.
