The WWE Hall of Famer previously appeared on the September 2 episode of WWE SmackDown and drove away with Happy Corbin. Neither man had been seen on WWE programming since.
On Monday night, JBL’s limo pulled up in the parking lot. Later in the show, JBL came to the ring and noted that it took a major occasion to bring “The Wrestling God” to WWE. He stated that his announcement would shake the foundations of RAW. He insulted Oklahoma and praised Texas, drawing plenty of boos in the process. He proceeded to introduce Corbin as the greatest addition in the history of WWE RAW. Corbin came to the ring, and JBL stated that he would be a champion in any era.
He called Corbin the modern-day “Wrestling God.” The broadcast team noted that Corbin was officially a member of RAW; the move came after Rey Mysterio was traded to SmackDown on the October 14 episode of the show.

JBL asked for competition and noted that Corbin would be facing Dolph Ziggler. He accused Ziggler of stealing money from WWE for 15, as he claimed that the former world champion wouldn’t have cut it in the Attitude Era. Corbin then defeated Ziggler in a hard-fought singles match to begin the new chapter of his career with a victory.
Monday night kicked off the latest reinvention of Corbin, who has ranged from “The Lone Wolf” to “Constable Corbin” to King Corbin to Happy Corbin, among other examples.
