In Loving Memory of Rev. Bryan Dunagan: A Pastor’s Legacy of Faith and Love
The Highland Park Presbyterian Church community is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved senior pastor, Rev. Bryan Dunagan, who was taken from us far too soon at the age of forty-four.
Executive Pastor Jay Lee shared the heartbreaking news of Rev. Dunagan’s peaceful passing on Facebook, revealing that he left this world in his sleep during the early hours of Thursday, October 26, due to natural causes. The church community, upon receiving this news, has been profoundly affected by this great loss, struggling to come to terms with the profound grief that now fills their hearts.
In honor of Rev. Dunagan’s memory, the church will hold a period of guided prayer on Friday from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., following a vigil in the Sanctuary held on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. This time of reflection and prayer will allow the community to come together to remember and cherish the impact Rev. Dunagan had on their lives.
Rev. Bryan Dunagan was a gifted communicator and a humble servant leader, known for his dedication to sharing the love of Christ throughout his life and ministry. His mission in life was to transform lives and guide people from all walks of life to know and follow Jesus. His emphasis on sharing the gospel, making disciples, prayer, and the establishment of community churches like Peak Street Church, Grace Church Lake Highlands, and Good Shepherd Oak Cliff has influenced thousands of lives. The ripple effect of his work will continue to touch tens of thousands more in the generations to come.
