Shot fired outside Chuck E Cheese in Brandon, Florida, sparking 'active shooter' fears as cops hunt

A SHOOTER has opened fire at a Florida Chuck E Cheese's Saturday, sparking panic.

Police are continuing the search for the shooter who fired a single shot outside the children's restaurant in Brandon after car crashed into the building.

It was initially reported that it was feared there was an active shooter and three people were injured.

However, a tweet from the sheriff's office said: "At least one shot was fired outside of the facility.

"There is NO active shooter. No shooting victims were located. This is an active investigation with more details forthcoming."

A white SUV reportedly crashed into the building, and authorities issued a BE ON THE LOOK OUT (BOLO) for a black woman wearing jeans and a crop top, according to WLFA.

Police did not reveal how many people were injured but said that all injuries were not life-threatening.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
