What was Caldwell's cause of death?

On March 14, 2023, Caldwell died in his sleep at the age of 71.

He is survived by his two daughters Lauren and Tessa, as well as his wife, Mary.

For the past five years, he was unable to walk because of neuropathy and a ruptured tendon in his ankle.

The cause of Caldwell's ruptured tendon was attributed to a negative reaction he had to his prescription for his Achilles.

In a social media statement, Caldwell's wife Mary tweeted: "Bobby passed away here at home. I held him tight in my arms as he left us.

"I am forever heartbroken. Thanks to all of you for your many prayers over the years.

"He had been 'FLOXED,' it took his health over the last 6 years and 2 months. Rest with God, my Love."
